My family and I have traveled the world to learn everything we can on this amazing breed. The number one quality that we emphasize is temperament. Although we believe conformation, health, coat and temperament are all important, we have gone to great lengths to make sure the dogs we select for our program are friendly and well socialized. Our goal is to always improve upon our program without sacrificing health and temperament. We are sole proprietorship kennel, and are not associated with any other breeders in Pennsylvania.
BREEDING FOR TEMPERAMENT
After speaking with some International judges and several breeders,the number one quality that everyone emphasized was temperament. Although we believe confirmation, health, coat and temperament are all important, we have gone to great lengths to make sure the dogs we select for our program are friendly and well socialized. Our dogs have been trained for canine therapy use in addition to being proven winners in the show ring. These dogs are very versatile and can be used for many different activities. Some of the puppies we have raised have been trained to perform many tasks from hunting Morel mushrooms (American version of hunting truffles), therapy dog work, obedience training, service dog training, and hunting retrievers. We have not found a task that these dogs are not capable of mastering.
